Foróige, the National Youth Development Organisation, invites applications for the post of Project Worker in Bandon Community Based Drugs Initiative. This post is funded by the Southern Regional Drugs Task Force and supported by a local committee. The Project Worker will be involved in work with young people using or at risk from misuse of drugs and alcohol and will liase with parents, treatment professionals and others. This maternity leave post is for 17 hours per week.
The normal requirements include a third level degree and good communication skills as well as practical experience in addiction work / youth work / counselling and an understanding of youth drug / alcohol issues will be necessary for the successful candidate. The successful candidate will receive an attractive remuneration package in line with appropriate professional scales. Entry level in accordance with qualifications and experience.
