Mallow Drugs Awareness Week 2009

Mallow Community Drugs Initiative have organised an interesting selection of events for Drugs Awareness Week, including Family Support Activities, Acudetox and a talk on "How to Survive the Recession on Prescription Drugs and Over the Counter Medicines.

Mallow Community Based drugs project in conjunction with CDYS and the local management group different events for this years DAW

Open to members of the public

Helpful to anyone concerned about a friend or family members drug/ alcohol use 

Mon 5th Oct 10.30 – 12noon – Understanding Addiction

Tue 6th Oct 10.30 – 12noon – Importance of Boundaries

Wed 7th Oct 10.30 – 12noon – Recognising Enabling 

Venue:              Mallow Community Youth Centre: Youth Café

Lunchtime Acudetox Treatment

Open to members of the public

Helpful for anyone struggling with cravings or withdrawal symptoms. It involves sitting in silence with 5 small acupuncture needles in the ears for up to 40mins
