Grants of up to €4000 are available to community groups, youth groups, treatment centres etc. and can be used to pilot new initiatives that provide alternatives to drugs and alcohol, undertake research into local needs or provide training and education initiatives for communities. Examples of grants awarded are monies to:

• Anchor Treatment Centre to pilot Alternative Therapies as part of the treatment programme
• Drama/Theatre workshops with Young Travellers.
• Musical Instruments for a diversionary project
• A directory of services for County Kerry
