A MAJOR seminar on addiction, suicide, relationships, faith in challenging times and coping with unemployment, will be held in the Presentation Convent Primary School Hall, Castleisland, tomorrow and Saturday. The seminar is supported by groups such as the Samaritans, Cuan Mhuire, Accord, Community Drugs Initiative and Living Links.
Each organisation will have representatives present to give information and offer support to people who need it.
Speakers will include Sr Consilio, founder and director of the Cuan Mhuire addiction treatment and rehabilitation centres; John Farrelly, consultant psychotherapist, author and director of counselling with Accord, who will speak on relationships and Joan Freeman, psychologist and psychotherapist, who will speak on suicide.
Psychologist Don Devaney will speak about coping with unemployment, while Mons Dan O'BJordan, PP, Castleisland, will address the subject on what faith has to offer in these challenging times.
Fr John Horan, Fr Darragh Connolly and Fr Cathal Price will be available for prayer ministry at the seminar.
